Magnetrol Teams Up With Team UT to Support Student Career Development
As the Baltimore Ravens battled to Super Bowl victory last month, TEAM UT – with a little help from Magnetrol – came out the real winners, scoring real-world learning experiences in preparation for careers in the sports and management industries.
Every year, a contingent of students and faculty from the University of Tennessee Knoxville suits up as TEAM UT and heads to the Super Bowl to work with professional event planners to hone management and leadership skills and perform community service. This year, the team of Magnetrol and its subsidiary, Orion Instruments, helped make the annual student development program a success, as a major sponsor.
In addition to working at various Super Bowl-related events, University of Tennessee students helped to restore Palmer Park in New Orleans, which was damaged by Hurricane Katrina, by rebuilding the park, planting flowers and painting streetlights.
