Magnetrol was founded on the development of the first magnetically-coupled mechanical switch designed for safe, accurate detection of liquid levels in boilers. In 1998, we released the first loop-powered guided wave radar (GWR) transmitter for industrial liquid level applications.

The Eclipse® Model 705 GWR transmitter made it possible to measure and control media in challenging applications with unprecedented accuracy. We continue to lead advancements in GWR with the Eclipse Model 706, as well as pulse burst radar and were the first to introduce high-temperature/high-pressure probes, overfill-capable coaxial probes, probes for saturated steam applications, and overfill-capable single rod probes into level measurement applications.
